3 Coworking Spaces In Antigua, Guatemala

Now a global phenomenon, coworking spaces are popping up in most major cities and Antigua is no different.

Anywhere along The Gringo Trail you will find coworking locations.

When I first arrived in Antigua there were two spots, Selina and Impact Hub, both belonging to a network of communities.

Selina is a chain of hostels that cater to the youngish backpacker/digital nomad community.

Impact Hub caters more to locals and expats that live in the area. Impact Hub offers more of a sense of community as the users are less transient then Selina which is located inside a hostel.

La Creativa is the new player in town located 1.5 blocks east of Parque Central on 4a Calle Poniente 5.

It is set in the back of a complex that you enter through the La Creativa shop. There is a coffee shop, restaurant, travel agency, and two bars but don’t be concerned as the cowork space is set in the garden in the vary back and is quiet and private.

Impact Hub is located just around the corner and is very professionally run place.

When I first got here they offered me a free day to check it out.

There is a coffee/smoothie shop right at the entrance of the building.

In Impact Hub you will find social entrepreneurs, IT and web developers, green start ups, social workers, students and more, with which you can share experiences in their learning lunches and in the other monthly events.

Located in the north side of town on 6 Anvenida we have Selina.

Selina has a nice set up and has a good bar too. Connected on the south side of Selina is La Esquina, which is a modern day food court without the chain restaurants.

Selina looks small from the front but it goes real deep and widens at the end of the long entry corridor.

A bit of a surprise is how Selina’s Social Media seems to only be produced at the corporate level and for the entire brand.

Antigua does have it’s own Facebook and Instagram but with barely any content.
